10 at 10

I decided to brave the cold temps this morning and did 10.2 miles in town--running 6.2 of them on the Dump Road. I spooked a couple of deer. I enjoyed watching my girls in the Christmas concert last night. Time goes by so quickly. God Bless!

Bench Presses

I did not run this morning. It is so cold here and my body has not yet adapted to these frigid temps. I did my 6 sets of bench presses though.

Christmas is not about the spirit of giving ,but rather it is the coming of Christ into the world. His life is a historical fact. This baby grew up and was crucified like a criminal at the age of 33. Jesus didn't come to earth to show us the way ,because He claimed to be The Way to eternal life. In this Christmas season I hope that each of us comes to grips with who Jesus is. He's either a hypocrit and a liar or He is who he claimed to be "the Son of God". Who do you say he is? The answer to this question could determine where you spend eternity.

Short Days

It is so dark in the mornings this time of year. I did 10 miles on route 190 amid snow flurries and freezing wet roads.

Quiet Cold at Quoddy

I did my Quoddy loop this morning with very little stirring. Early morning is a great time of day to run when one can get lost in their own thoughts as you run. I got a total of 10.1 miles.

In this Christmas season I am reminded that although this is a joyful time of year for many it is also a time of year when many struggle quietly wondering why are they in such a desperate way in a time when they are supposed to be "happy". This is also the time of year when we remember the Son of God leaving the glories of heaven to be born in a stable which was supposed to be the lodging place of animals. The greatest gifts are not always the things that we give ,but often are the things that we give up. In this Christmas time maybe the greatest gift we could give is to give up our time to spend it with someone who desperately needs to be reached out to and helped. Just a thought that I would do well to heed myself.

God Bless!

Tired Today

I did 11 miles last night on route 190 and did a loop through town. Did 5.6 this morning, running with Andy for about 1.5 miles. God Bless and have a great day all. The Colts are undefeated--great team with good Christian coach. I wish them all the success of the 2007 Patriots.
